| When, Why & What for... |
|
The Calcutta is generally held on the Tuesday prior to the "NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament" start, with registration between 5:30 & 6:30. The auction begins at 6:30 SHARP!!!
The calcutta is fun way to bid on your favorite NCAA basketball team to see if they can go all the way. All 64 teams in the tournament will be auctioned off and the prize pool is generated from the bids. Ten percent (10%) of the pot is automatically donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The remaining ninety percent (90%) of the pot is paid out to bidders of the calcutta. First place wins twenty-five percent (25%) of the pot, Second place wins twelve (12%) percent of the pot, Third and Fourth places split nineteen percent (19%), 5th through 8th place winners split fourteen percent (14%) of the pot four ways, 9th through 16th place winners split sixteen percent (16%) of the pot eight ways, and 17th through 32nd place winners split sixteen percent (14%) of the pot sixteen ways.
There will also be four mini-auctions (usually 10-16 items) for some quality items up for bid. One-hundred percect (100%) of the money these items generate goes directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

| From Mike... Thanks for another great Calcutta turnout. For the 6th year in a row we broke the previous years bid total, which means we get to donate more money to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This year the Calcuta donation was $7,956.00, plus $1,111 from side auction items & 50/50 tickets, plus $1000.00 donated from Scott Burke of "First Security Bank ", $626 from Von Richter who donated back his 50/50 winnings, $561.00 from "St. Patricks Day" Corned Beef donations & $397 from a group of others, we generated $11,510.00 to be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis foundation this year. Thank you all for your support throughout the years!!! |

| Rules |

| 1. All 64 Teams in the Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
2. Each TEAM will be drawn randomly.
3. 10% of the TOTAL BID will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. 90% of the pot will be paid out to the participating bidders.
4. 30 second time-outs may be used by bidders as needed.
5. Persons may not bid or wager money on any elementary school or high school event.
6. The underlying event has more than two entrants.
